Cleanliness

Cleanliness would probably have to be one of the most important virtues on Benjamin Franklin's list. You really can't live without cleanliness like you can some of the other ones. Ex: Slience, Industry. To be drity and unclean should not be tolerated, and should not happen.
You should not have to be in a public place or work with people who do not bath, or wash their clothes. It makes for an uncomfortalbe atmosphere. Water is free and soap is cheap, there's no reason to be dirty and smell.

I agree with you Megan that cleanliness is a very important virtue. The way people look as you is largely based on your appearance. This was a good virtue to pick because it was many supporting facts.
