Sincerity
I think the most important virtue is Sincerity. I think it is important because it shows the common saying do on to others how you would want them to do on to you. Respecting others is important because they wont respect you back if you dont respect them.
Compassion
I think one of the best virtues to have would be compassion, because with compassion many other things would tie into it. If people had compassion for one another, they wouldn't wrong each other at all. They would be honest with everyone, so it ties in honesty. If people had compassion, it would include order also because no one would be doing anything wrong to each other. If everyone had compassion for everyone else, there would be no problems between anyone.

Order
I feel that order is the most important of the virtues. Without it, the world would be chaotic. Time is an example of how order takes place; it keeps everything running smoothly. It also shows that all things have their places. I couldn't even imagine a world without order. The other virtues may also be important, but I think this one is the most crucial.

Order
Order is the most important virtue because without it everybody would be going crazy. Nobody would have any respect for anything and the world would just not be a very good place to be. No order means no safety people would be robbing stores and stuff all the time and they wouldnt have enough money to stay open. Without order you can not get anything done. This is why i think order is the most important virtue.
Honesty
I feel that honesty is the most important virtue. You have to be honest with people or else they won't believe you. People can usually tell when another person is lying. Honesty is very imporant because if you lie it will get you now where in life.
Order
I chose this virtue because i think, to be most effective you must have order in your daily life. If you have an order when doing thing you will get a lot more accomplished on a day to day basis. Benjamin Franklin made the thirteen virtues as a guide for people to live by to be considered a good person. I think that order is the most important virtue because is you are oganized and have order in your live people will trust you more. This is why I think order is such an important virtue.

Order
I believe order is the most important of the 13 virtues listed by Benjamin Franklin. Without order, you wouldn't accomplish anything because everything would be a complete mess and you wouldn't know where anything was. You also need rules to achieve order so there are set guidelines to follow. You need to be organized and have a spot for everything so nothing gets misplaced or lost. I believe this virtue should be followed by everyone.
order
I think order would have to be one of the most important virtues to me. Franklin tried to follow all of the virtues in a period of time to try and live a perfect life, but he could not have lived a "perfect" life focusing on just one virtue. I think that all of them tie together and form the most important one but I think order would have to be best for me. If nothing in your life is in order then you will have a hard time succeeding in anything. However, if you live an orderly life then you will feel more accomplished and be able to do so much more if your life was a mess. Therefore I think order is very important to have in your life.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness would probably have to be one of the most important virtues on Benjamin Franklin's list. You really can't live without cleanliness like you can some of the other ones. Ex: Slience, Industry. To be drity and unclean should not be tolerated, and should not happen.
You should not have to be in a public place or work with people who do not bath, or wash their clothes. It makes for an uncomfortalbe atmosphere. Water is free and soap is cheap, there's no reason to be dirty and smell.

Honesty
Honesty in my opinion is the most important virtue. If you tell lies people will stop believing in you. I remember this book my mom read to me when I was little. It was called The Boy who cried Wolf. The boy thought it was funny until one day when a wolf actually came and he called for help and no one came to save him and he got eaten. That shows that if you lie to people to much when you actually need them they will just think that you are teasing and don't need their help.
Honesty
You have to be honest around people or people will stop believing in you kind of like the Boy who cried wolf. He told so many lies but when it did happen no citizens came to help him and i think the wolf got him. That's the price to pay for telling some many lies. If you want people to trust you and think you are responsible you should tell the truth at all times. If you did something bad you should tell the truth you won't get in much trouble then if you tell a lie. People who like to tell lies make other people especially teachers or their boss at work not trust them and they won't get to do fun things at work or in school. Their teachers will also stop believing in them
on moderation
Extremes in most cases aren't good, even if they are an extreme of a certain positive quality or condition. If someone is feeling an extreme of an emotion, they wont pay attention to their other ones or whats going on around them. Too much of anything in the body is known to be bad. Too much of an ingredient could spoil a recipe, too much food will spoil the body, etc. If someone gets carried away with what they are doing or feeling things could go bad, and theres even a chance they won't know why. Instead of blindly making an assumption and going through with preaching about it and expecting people to agree, thinking it through and considering all the different points on a subject would make a person wiser on it. With moderating and paying attention to how one feels, they can better assess themselves and their environment.

Sincerity
I believe this is one of the most important virtues that Franklin put on his list. Sincerity is practicing humility and honesty. If you are not sincere in your daily life, how can people trust you? You should be sincere and honest and give your best attempt in everything that you do whether its at a job that you are working at, or it could be something as simple as everyday communication between your closest friends and family. Imagine if nobody was sincere when they spoke wouldn't it be very difficult to believe people and gain trust with them? That is why I picked sincerity as my virtue.

Frugality
Make no expensse but to do good to others or yourself; waste nothing. Frugality is basically treat others the way you would want to be treated. I'm sure everyone wants to be treated nicely. I think that Frugality is important to me because if everyone were nice to each other and got a long the world would be a better place. I don't think that violence is the answer to anything. Being nice to people and treating them how you want to be treated is always important. That is why i think that Frugality is the most important virtue to me.

ORDER.
Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time. I think that order is the essential because if people did not have order everything would be confusing, chaotic and nothing would be able to get done. Another reason order is essential is because order is a main thing that people need to be successful. If everyone had order people would be able to do things much better. That is why I think order is the most essential virtue.

Silence
I think that silence is one of the Virtues that most people should think about. Silence is something great if you think about it because silence is needed to listen and to learn. If you were never silent then you would never learn anything. Silence also helps you calm down if and when needed. Silence, some people may think is useless, but silence is golden and is needed in everyday life.
Humility #13
Imitate Jesus and Socrates. How can you go wrong if you imitate them. I guess maybe if your so perfect that you could go wrong, but i don't know, that might be just me. Also i think Michel Scott might meet that list its a close 2nd (BHathaway). Well Jesus is a no brainer, he walked on water. He healed the sick, even blind people. I think you would have to through in dying on the cross too. Socrates was one of the smartest people to walk the earth and wise way before his time. He thought things out, and was one of the first people to contribute towhat we know as ethics. If you follow these 3 guy's lead, i think you will have a monumental amount of succsess in whatever you do.

Assignment # 1- The Essential Virtue
Franklin wished to achieve moral perfection by concentrating on thirteen virtues that he deemed to be necessary to personal growth. Franklin would later say that this endeavor was impossible, yet still beneficial. What virtue do you think is most important to you as an individual? In a one paragraph response, elaborate on why you think that virtue is essential. After you have completed your response, respond to one of your classmate’s posts in a thoughtful and respectful manner-in a manner that adds value to the discussion.
